An easy to grow hardy biennial/short-lived perennial with multiple, tall upright stems on which grow numerous flowers which can range from pale lilac to darker purple. Large leaves grow in a thick mound in the first year, whilst in the second year, tall hairy stems grow with flowers at the top. Sweet Rocket has a lovely sweet fragrance which is particularly noticeable in the evening.

Soil type: Likes well drained to quite dry, light soils. Will grow in poor soils

Sweet Rocket will attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects to your garden. It makes a beautiful cut flower which will fill your room with a lovely sweet scent.
Harvesting
Pick the flowers to eat as soon as they are open. Regular harvesting of flowers and deadheading will prolong the flowering season.
