Working with Councils

With a growing awareness of climate change and the devastating loss of biodiversity, many councils have declared a climate emergency and are looking for practical ways to address these issues.

Some solutions are lengthy and complex but there are practical initiatives, such as the re-imagining of our green spaces, that can be relatively simple and cost-effective to implement. Knowing how to adapt green space management practices, from verges and roundabouts to parks and play areas, can enrich community, benefit pollinators, birds and other wildlife and also represent a significant cost saving.

By introducing tried and tested, nature friendly techniques, it is possible to save time and money by reducing the need for watering and mowing, enhance wildlife habitat and provide stunning floral displays throughout the summer months.

We offer a range of services to inspire and guide projects from the early stages right through to implementation. These include drawing up plans and visuals, discussing maintenance schedules and communicating with residents and community groups. We can also supply specialist seed mixes or meadow turf at very competitive prices.

We have been working on several projects within Devizes and Bradford-on-Avon town councils, in conjunction with local community groups and residents. Under current restrictions much of our planning and communications is carried out remotely via Zoom and other online media, although socially distanced site visits are sometimes possible.
